Coachella-Bella

Even though Coachella is long gone, I am still endlessly inspired by it. There are so many flowy dresses, flower crowns, headbands, cool sandals, hippie chic shirts, pretty skirts, awesome cut-offs, and lots of lace!! I love looking a pics of the celebs at Coachella in their cute boho outfits. So of course after looking at tons of pictures, I has tons of outfit ideas. And because I am in the city, of course I had to have my own NYC flare, so I added a worn-in Yankees hat and hi-tops. Don’t always do what other people do, make it your own. Add something that will show YOU!

Get Inspired for Easter!

Every year around holidays I love making outfits subtly based on something having to do with it. So for this Easter season I have been wearing lots of pastels, especially pink and blue because the Easter themed Baked by Mellissa cupcakes totally gave me a burst of inspiration for Easter! So for Easter this year, get some inspiration, and definitely try these delicious mini-cupcakes. Happy Easter everyone!

Go-To Spring Look

In New York, no matter how warm it is, you barley ever see people wearing a plain t-shirt; us New Yorkers are always wearing some kind of jacket or sweater! I usually like wearing cute shorts or a skirt, with a basic tee, and a cute jacket. My favorite kind of jackets for spring are army jackets! I love wearing this jacket that Kelly Bensimon customized with her own pink owl patch. The basic army jacket is just from H&M, but she had the genius idea of putting a pink owl patch on it to make it unique! Check out her awesome website: http://www.kellykillorenbensimon.com/blog/

For this outfit all I did was take a plain white t-shirt, pair it with some cute jean shorts, and toped I it off with my one-of-a-kind army jacket. And of course, I accessorized with a great camouflage hat, and neon Supergas.

Wearing: American Apparel t-shirt, Abercrombie shorts, Superga sneakers, Wampum hat, and my unique army jacket.

Rocker Chic

I love experimenting with fashion, and spring is one of the best times to do it! I like trying new things, and finding new ways to mix and match old pieces. I love dressing up in edgy outfits because it is a break from my usual style. It’s a great way to mix in some rocker pieces, that I do not get to wear very often (like the denim jacket). In this outfit I combined a heart sweater with a denim jacket and Dr. Martens, so I could have an edgy feel, but I could still look like myself. I love Dr. Martens, which are pretty rocker, because they are so classic and you can wear them with any thing, from dresses to pants.

I am wearing: a Pinc sweater, Zara jacket, Juicy Couture Skirt, and Dr. Martens

-Red-

Usually when people think of March they think of green, for Saint Patrick’s Day, but I think that March is the perfect time for red! A lot of people associate red with February for Valentines Day, so I dare you to try wearing tons of red in March! This March I love red converse and red nail polish! I am also IN LOVE with this red Kenzo sweater. As you probably can tell, I love the color red because it is so bright, but I like to try new things, so I am going to wear more maroon and burgundy too this season, which are just darker shades of red! The ASOS and Henri Bendel bracelets are to die for, and would look super cute with a chunky sweater. So try it with me, wear red for March!

I am wearing: J. Brand jeans, Comme des Garçons sneakers, a Bonpoint jacket, and a J.crew hat

Stack'm Up

I love wearing all kinds of jewelry, but bracelets are my favorite pieces to wear. Everyday I have a different selection of bracelets on, and I think it makes life so much more fun. Some people don’t like to wear bracelets because they think it makes it hard to write or they hate when bracelets make noise when you walk around, but if that happens to you and you don’t like it, that just means you aren’t wearing the right kind of bracelets for yourself! Tip: If that sounds like you, try wearing more flat bracelets made out of leather, or some other kind of soft material, don’t wear beads, or metal bracelets (those are the kind that jingle around an make noise).  Cool friendship bracelets are perfect for you! They also have some fun ones with diamond embellishments! Just make sure your bracelets are always the proper size, and are not too chunky and the writing problem is solved! However none of those things bother me, and I love jingling around, so I like to go all out and mix all my bracelets. I think 3-9 bracelets on one wrist is the perfect amount; sometimes its great to make a theme for the day: one day you can wear all rose gold, and the next day mix up different shades of blue. My favorite thing to do it wears all different kinds of gold, and mix up the textures, so I will have a few hard bracelets, a few soft bracelets, and a few dangling bracelets. If your not a huge bracelet fan, than just wear one cute statement bracelet like the rope one from Ralph Lauren or the cool metal one from H&M. And just remember to have fun with it!!

Fun in the Sun!

This week in New York there were crazy snowstorms, so it was the perfect time to escape to Boca for President’s Day Weekend. Whenever I am at the beach or the pool, I like to express myself with fun bathing suits and lots of fun jewelry. I like to load up on bracelets and wear a couple of necklaces. But remember that this is a time to relax and swim, so don’t ever wear anything that will be ruined by water! So that means nothing to fancy and expensive!! And don’t forget the sunscreen, because being burned does not look good.

I have on: a Marc Jacobs bikini, Marc Jacobs necklace, Stella and Dot necklace, and lots of random bracelets!

Pool Essentials:

For the past few days I’ve been hanging out at the beach, but today I decided to go to the pool, and I realized that I had to go back to my hotel room to grab so many things! In the end I needed lip-gloss for my chapped lips, water because I was getting SO dehydrated! Some candy (I love Haribo sour spaghetti) for a little snack, and it also gives me energy;), I also needed sunglasses because the sun was so bright, and lastly some cute lace shorts to throw on for all the trips I had to make back to our room to get the rest of the stuff. So the bottom line is always bring lip-gloss, water, candy, lace shorts, and sunglasses to the pool, because you will probably end up needing them.

Fashion Week Countdown: 2 Days!

Because New York Fashion week is starting in two days, on February 6th, I thought I would do a recap of last years spring fashion week in a collage. I was going to put pictures of all my favorite styles that I saw on the streets, and on the runway; but there were way too many outfits to choose from! So, I had to choose a few. Last year people were really into bright colors put into simple outfits, with great accessories, but this season everyone is really into boxy clothing, lots of sweaters, and great jackets. One thing I am really into this season is wearing lots of layers, with cool jewelry.

Missing the Sun

Right now in our cold snowy weather, I have been thinking about the sun a lot! I really miss tanning, swimming, and chilling out with my friends. One thing I miss most is getting to pick out a different bathing suit to wear every day. When I am feeling a little crazy, I like to mix and match my bathing suits; when I am feeling chic and fun I wear solid colors, especially classic white. I love being in the warm weather, when you’re tan everything is better! Your teeth look whiter, your skin is better, and you have a radiant glow! But don’t over tan, or you will get wrinkles when you are older. One of my favorite things to do is going swimming in the ocean, being in the salt water feels great, and it helps your skin heal. PRO-TIP: wearing white bikinis makes you look tanner and slimmer.

I am wearing a juicy couture Bikini.

Having too much of a good thing, is still a good thing:)

As you can tell, I’m a little obsessed with perfume, but that’s never a bad thing.  A scent is part of who you are. It follows you, and people can remember you by it. People always ask me what my favorite perfume is, but I can’t answer that! I have a bunch of favorites like, Prada infusion d'iris, Bvgari Petite Mamans, and Jo Malone Wild Bluebell. On the less expensive side, I really like the Demeter scents, because there are so many, therefore anyone can find at least one scent that they like (my favorite is honeysuckle). So I think that every girl or women should invest in a great perfume that can wear everyday! And here’s one of my favorite quotes by the one and only, Coco Chanel:

A women who doesn't wear perfume has no future.

-Coco Chanel

Skateboarding in the City

I love going around the city to go shopping, or just to go out to lunch, but getting transportation is a hassle so I always find myself skateboarding around town! It’s also way more fun!

I am wearing: Crewcuts pants, a Zara fur vest, a Bonpoint jacket, Superga sneakers, and an H&M hat.

Apples! Apples! Apples!

Apple picking is so fun! It is one of my favorite fall activities; I really just like eating the apples;)

I am wearing: Ralph Lauren sweater and skirt, Zara denim vest, a Juicy Couture hat, and Bensimon shoes.
